RV Winter Tips

5 Winter Tips

When winter hits, it’s important to take the necessary precautions to make sure your RV is safe and ready for the colder weather. Here are some tips to help you get through the winter season:

1. Choosing the right heater

It’s important to choose the right heater for your RV to ensure that you stay warm and comfortable all winter long. Some heaters are specifically designed for RVs, so be sure to choose one of those.

2. Make sure to insulate your RV

Adding insulation to your RV can help keep the heat in and the cold out. This is a simple and inexpensive way to make sure your RV stays warm all winter long.

3. Prepare Pipes & Tanks

Frozen pipes and tanks can cause a lot of damage to your RV, so it’s important to take steps to prevent them from freezing. You can do this by adding insulation to pipes and tanks, using a heating pad, or wrapping them in towels.

4. Prepare Your Tires

Make sure your tires are properly inflated and in good condition before hitting the road in winter. Driving on icy roads with worn-out tires can be dangerous.

5. Have the right gear

Make sure you pack plenty of warm clothes, blankets, hats, mittens, etc., when hitting the road in winter. You may also want to pack a snow shovel and ice scraper in case you get caught in a snowstorm.
